How We Met
New York is a big city.
...and the chances of meeting someone is like getting struck by lightning. Twice. But somehow, in some random basement karaoke bar called Pulse, they met.
He likes to remember it as a beautiful courtship, where he took the stage and delivered a masterful performance of A Whole New World, as the crowd around them yelled and cheered on in admiration. But as she remembers it, the first time she laid eyes on him, he was stationed at the open bar, obnoxiously signaling to the bartender for a drink, while clumsily pouring another one down his throat.
